The Ravqenori platform uses a consistent set of terms throughout its interface, documentation, and correspondence with users. The definitions below reflect how these terms are used within the system. Some terms may carry different meanings in other contexts โ these definitions describe their specific use within Ravqenori.
Classification and Structure
Review and Status
Terms Related to Information Organisation
- Category
- A defined grouping within the Ravqenori information structure. All content held within the platform is assigned to at least one category. Categories are arranged in a hierarchy, with broader categories containing more specific sub-categories. The category label is always visible alongside the information item it describes.
- Sub-category
- A more specific grouping within a parent category. Sub-categories allow the platform to distinguish between items that share a broad category but differ in a meaningful way. Navigation within the platform moves from category to sub-category as the user selects more specific areas of interest.
- Classification label
- A short identifier assigned to each information item that indicates the category or sub-category it belongs to. Classification labels are consistent across the platform: the same label always refers to the same category type, regardless of where it appears in the interface.
- Information hierarchy
- The layered structure through which the Ravqenori platform organises its content. The hierarchy begins at the broadest category level and descends through sub-categories to individual information items. The platform's navigation reflects this hierarchy at every level.
- Record
- An individual item of structured information held within the platform. Each record belongs to one or more categories, carries a classification label, and has a review status. The record is the fundamental unit of information within the Ravqenori system.
Review and Status
Terms Related to the Review Interface
- Review status
- An indicator applied to each record that describes its current state within the platform's classification process. Common status values include Active (the record is current and accessible), Pending (the record is awaiting further classification or review), and Held (the record is present but requires an additional step before it is accessible to the user).
- Summary view
- The default presentation of an information item in the review interface. The summary view shows the record's classification label, review status, and a brief description. It is intended to help users identify relevant records before navigating to a more detailed view.
- Detail view
- A more complete presentation of an individual record, accessible by navigating from the summary view. The detail view displays all information the platform holds for that record within the current category, subject to access conditions.
- Restricted category
- A category whose content is not accessible without a prior enquiry. When a user navigates to a restricted category, the interface indicates that access requires contact with the support team. The team will assess any relevant enquiry and advise on what is available.
